My name is Evelyn Calaunan and welcome to my website. I have been a Blue Mountains celebrant since 2008, having conducted over 800 ceremonies.
Recently retired from conducting weddings, I am available to be your celebrant for Funerals, Memorials, Ashes Interment/Scattering and Life Celebrations (aka a Living Funeral).
It is truly my honour when a family entrust me to create and deliver a personalised ceremony which celebrates or commemorates a person’s life.
From my past life experiences I know that I can relate to a wide variety of people. I accept everyone for what they believe in and make people feel comfortable. My strong speaking voice, compassionate nature, attention to detail, love of ritual and people will ensure that your ceremony will be memorable.

She makes you feel comfortable and like she’s a friend from way back from the moment you meet her. We had experienced Evelyn in her capacity as a life celebrant and were so impressed with her professionalism and care that we wanted Evelyn to officiate our wedding. August 14, 2022My Mother hired Evelyn to conduct her memorial a few months before she passed. My Mum was looking for someone who could take some of the pressure off of my family and I so we could embrace our time more. We organised to meet Evelyn to see if she was the right fit and my Mother and her instantly clicked. She was prepared, honest, open and respectful towards our family so of course we hired her. Since that point on she brought so many ideas, resources and materials to the table which made organising this event so easy. She was very prepared and regulary checked in with us to ask for feedback on her work, she took any notes we had and promptly made the changes needed.
