We met with several celebrants when planning our wedding trying to find someone that we clicked with and who was understanding of our needs and challenges for our wedding day. When we met, Evelyn was warm, accommodating, open and clear about her services and her role. That positive experience from our first meeting continued throughout our wedding planning and onto the day itself and I cannot thank her enough for stepping into the role of MC when our original choice of a family friend fell through. As our celebrant she was a calm and professional presence with an excellent speaking voice that handled the growing cold wind with poise born from experience! As our MC she was helpful & supportive to our guests and had wonderful sense of timing of when to engage the wedding guests and when to step back. She offered countless words of wisdom based on her extensive experience in the lead up to our big day while putting us completely at ease with her fabulous sense of humour and friendly demeanour. Working with Evelyn proved to be effortless. She went out of her way to pre-record the songs we’d need for our rehearsal and this proved priceless on the day due to inclement weather, which left our musician unable to play live. Evelyn (and Dan!) saved the day. The ceremony was personalised just for us, with our readings and vows all beautifully prepared for easy delivery on the day. Due to weeks of heavy rain the decision had to be made that we get married in our lounge room instead of having a garden party. After reducing our guest numbers by half, Evelyn was there to reassure us that all would be well and calmly presided over a wedding with a difference. Thank you for all of your assistance on our day, I am sure I didn’t even see most of what you did for us, the change of venues certainly didn’t make it a boring wedding!! Everyone has commented that the ceremony was beautiful, they loved the ring warming and that they were able to see and hear everything which is quite rare for a wedding!!
